About the Role

As an Inventory Planner, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the use of our clients' inventory footprint and enhancing the pick path for strategic planning. This remote Inventory Planner position allows you to work with products from exciting clients in the active lifestyle sector, ensuring efficient inventory management and planning.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze item dimensions weekly to enable containerization and implement other innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with Distribution Center (DC) management to provide feedback and support, addressing any concerns or obstacles.
  • Utilize data to plan optimal slotting and storage footprints, ensuring efficient use of space.
  • Work with clients to establish item masters, accurately mapping them to the correct billing, product, and commodity groups.
  • Plan the storage footprint for clients, determining item placement by product type and ensuring adequate supplies for racking.
  • Secure sufficient labor for the setup and maintenance of the slotting program.
  • Monitor inventory capacity levels and recommend client moves for optimal space utilization throughout the year.
  • Lead condensing tasks to accommodate forecasted layouts and manage the client storage allocation table.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older to apply.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in an inventory planning department is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and tolerate various working conditions.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across departments.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with tier one WMS systems.
  • Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently.
