International Consultant - Policy Paper on Violence Against Children and Women

About the Role
We are seeking an International Consultant to develop a comprehensive policy paper on the intersection between violence against children and violence against women. This remote position will allow you to contribute to vital social change in Montenegro, where violence against women and children is a pressing issue.
What You'll Do
- Conduct a desk review of relevant international standards to inform the policy paper.
- Develop an outline for the document, identifying key sections and objectives.
- Engage in interviews and consultations with key stakeholders to gather insights.
- Draft a policy paper that analyzes the intersection of violence against children and women.
- Prepare a final version of the policy paper based on feedback received.
- Present the document to the Government of Montenegro.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social sciences, law, or relevant fields; PhD preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in drafting policy papers related to child protection and gender-based violence.
- Strong knowledge of UN and CoE guiding standards on protection from violence.
- Excellent command of English and good command of Montenegrin.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience with UNICEF or other international organizations.
- Knowledge of Montenegro's legal and institutional frameworks.
- Strong analytical and strategic skills.
