HR Manager - Motor Vehicle Manufacturing
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our team at Adient, overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes in our San Antonio plant. As an HR Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing employee relations, performance management, and talent management, ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. This HR Manager position is not remote; it requires on-site presence to effectively engage with our workforce.
What You'll Do
- Lead employee surveys and action planning to enhance workplace culture.
- Conduct new employee orientations to foster a positive attitude toward company goals.
- Maintain accurate records of personnel transactions, including promotions, transfers, and terminations.
- Communicate and assist with employee benefits during open enrollment and related activities.
- Monitor the corrective action process to ensure fairness and consistency.
- Develop and implement employee recognition programs to boost morale.
- Prepare reports and recommend procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover rates.
- Represent the organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of HR management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Experience in environmental health and safety compliance.
- Familiarity with OSHA and EPA/TCEQ standards.
- Previous experience in employee engagement activities.
