HR Leave of Absence Specialist - Remote
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Leave of Absence Specialist - Remote to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage employee leave requests, ensuring compliance with FMLA, ADA, and company policies. You will play a crucial role in supporting our employees during their time away from work, providing guidance and assistance throughout the leave process.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the administration of leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA, and other company-specific leave policies.
- Provide expert consultation to employees regarding their leave options and rights.
- Coordinate with HRIS and benefits administration systems to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of leave data.
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to employee leave.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement HR policies related to leave of absence management.
Requirements
- Associates Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in a related field; SHRM Certification preferred.
- At least three years of HR-related experience, particularly in leave of absence administration.
- Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and related compliance issues.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Workday or similar HR management software.
- Knowledge of medical billing and insurance follow-up processes.
- Ability to provide ADA accommodations and coordinate necessary documentation.
