About the Role

We're hiring an HR Business Partner - Remote to join Shared Value Solutions (SVS), an environmental and community development consulting firm dedicated to supporting Indigenous Nations across Canada. In this role, you will play a crucial part in promoting sovereignty and self-determination for Indigenous communities. As an HR Business Partner, you will work with a team of experts in science, cultural heritage, planning, and regulatory fields, providing essential support to our clients while fostering a work culture that values inclusivity and diversity.

What You'll Do

  • Support Indigenous Nations in achieving their goals through effective HR strategies and practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and regulatory advice related to major resource development projects.
  • Foster a culturally affirming workplace that encourages applications from diverse backgrounds.
  • Implement HR policies and practices that promote work-life balance and employee well-being.
  • Utilize cloud-based tools (e.g., Google Workspace) to enhance HR operations and communication.

Requirements

  • CHRP or CHRL Designation, or a degree in Labour Relations or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR, preferably with Indigenous-led organizations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of HR disciplines including health & safety and employee relations.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with Indigenous communities or organizations.
  • Familiarity with HR software and tools.
  • Understanding of cultural competency in HR practices.
