VP of Cloud Engineering - Remote

About the Role

We are looking for a VP of Cloud Engineering - Remote to join Qdrant, an innovative technology company specializing in open-source vector databases for next-generation AI applications. In this role, you will lead the evolution of Qdrant Cloud, ensuring that our platform delivers high-performance vector similarity search capabilities. As a VP of Cloud Engineering, you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of AI infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Define and execute the strategy for Qdrant Cloud and Enterprise Product.
• Lead distributed engineering teams responsible for infrastructure, platform, SRE, DevOps, security, and reliability.
• Deliver a secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-efficient managed service.
• Define and own the technical vision and roadmap for Qdrant Cloud.
• Drive multi-cloud and cloud-native architecture decisions.
• Ensure strong alignment between Cloud Engineering, Core Engineering, Product, and Go-To-Market teams.
• Establish best-in-class reliability practices.
• Optimize cloud cost efficiency at scale.
• Hire, mentor, and scale a high-performing cloud engineering organization.
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• 10+ years in engineering leadership, including senior roles in cloud/platform engineering.
• Experience building and scaling B2B SaaS platforms.
• Proven track record in managing distributed teams.
• Deep experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience operating high-scale, production-critical infrastructure.
• Experience with enterprise security and compliance frameworks.

Nice to Have

• Experience with machine learning infrastructure.
• Familiarity with open-source communities.
• Knowledge of AI-driven applications.
