Head of Marketing - Remote Opportunity at Wave

About the Role

We're seeking a Head of Marketing to join our team at Wave, a pioneering company on a mission to make Africa the first cashless continent. As the Head of Marketing, you will play a crucial role in driving our marketing strategy and execution to support our rapid growth across Burkina Faso. This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing marketing function and make a significant impact in the FinTech space.

What You'll Do

• Own the local marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with business growth targets and brand ambitions.
• Serve as a strategic marketing partner to the General Manager and other functional leads.
• Lead comprehensive marketing planning, including budget management, resource allocation, and ROI accountability.
• Collaborate with the group marketing team to align local strategies with global direction.
• Supervise full-funnel marketing campaigns across ATL, BTL, and social media channels.
• Establish clear processes and documentation to guide cross-functional teams in project delivery.
• Conduct market intelligence efforts, including consumer insights and brand health analysis.

Requirements

• Degree in marketing, communication, sales, business development, or related fields.
• At least 12 years of marketing experience, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale, multi-channel marketing strategies with measurable impact.
• Experience managing significant marketing budgets and demonstrating strong ROI discipline.
• Fluency in both French and English.
