Head of Finance - Remote Position at Safi

About the Role

We are seeking a Head of Finance - Remote to join Safi, an innovative company focused on creating the world's first AI-powered global marketplace for trading recycled plastics, paper, and metals. As the Head of Finance, you will play a crucial role in bridging technical accounting with bold commercial strategy, directly impacting how we price and sell our marketplace and AI SaaS products.

What You'll Do

• Lead financial analysis and pricing strategy for our marketplace and SaaS products.
• Manage accounting and treasury operations, including month-end close and cash flow forecasting.
• Ensure timely submission of corporate and indirect tax returns.
• Oversee payroll processes and employee equity management.
• Prepare financial reports for investors and mentor finance team members.
• Experience managing statutory filings and UK accounting regulations.
• Work closely with the CEO on financial strategies.
• Focus on improving processes and compliance in financial operations.
• Manage banking relationships and legal/financial requests.
• Foster an inclusive work environment.

Requirements

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with experience in finance leadership.
• Proven ability to enhance financial processes.
• Experience with tax compliance and audit processes in the UK.
• Desirable experience with invoice financing and foreign exchange hedging.
• Familiarity with managing share option schemes.
