Head of Brand Design - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Head of Brand Design to join Deutscher Hilfsbund e.V. in a remote capacity. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the visual identity of a newly established organization focused on social impact and economic viability. As the Head of Brand Design, you will work closely with the Chief Communication Officer to develop a clear and consistent brand architecture that resonates with our mission.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain the visual appearance of the Deutsche Hilfsbund.
• Ensure consistent design quality across all channels, enhancing our brand's presence.
• Create and maintain design templates for presentations, pitches, campaigns, reports, and digital formats.
• Conduct quality assurance of all visual materials before publication.
• Collaborate closely with communication and campaigns for the visual implementation of strategic content.
• Establish a simple, clearly structured design workflow for a small team.
• Prospectively develop and lead a design team of 2 to 3 people.
• Contribute to the development of a structured brand guidelines document.
• Support the establishment of consistent employer branding in coordination with HR.

Requirements

• Experience in brand design, graphic design, or visual communication.
• Creative and strategic understanding of brand management.
• Proficient in Canva; additional design tools are a plus.
• Ability to systematically build design rather than just implement operationally.
• Structured working style and quality awareness.
• Initiative and long-term commitment.
