Senior Accountant - Remote Position at Margaux

About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Accountant - Remote to join our innovative team at Margaux. Founded in 2015, Margaux is a modern footwear brand dedicated to quality craftsmanship and thoughtful design. As a Senior Accountant - Remote, you will play a crucial role in supporting our growing e-commerce and retail business.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and post journal entries related to revenue, COGS, inventory, accruals, prepaid expenses, and operating expenses.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies in GL activity.
• Export and analyze Shopify reports for sales and revenue insights.
• Process vendor bills and support basic accounts receivable activities.
• Assist with cash forecasting and cash flow analysis to optimize financial performance.
• Maintain strong internal controls and documentation to ensure compliance.
• Recommend automation tools and process enhancements to improve efficiency.

Requirements

• 2–6+ years of accounting experience, preferably in e-commerce or retail.
• Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online or Desktop.
• Experience working with Shopify financial data is a plus.
• Solid understanding of GAAP fundamentals.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.

• Experience with financial analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of accounting software integrations.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
