General Liability Counsel - Remote Position for Ski Resorts

About the Role

We are seeking a talented General Liability Counsel to join our team remotely. This General Liability Counsel remote position focuses on providing legal expertise for ski resorts, allowing you to leverage your litigation experience in a flexible work environment.

What You'll Do

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents relevant to defense litigation.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations to represent clients effectively.
• Collaborate with colleagues across various departments to ensure comprehensive legal strategies.
• Independently manage a litigation caseload, focusing on general liability cases.
• Communicate with clients regularly, providing status updates and legal advice.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Must be admitted to practice law in California.
• 8+ years of defense litigation experience, particularly in general liability.
• Experience with catastrophic injury and product liability cases is essential.
• Proficient in drafting discovery and pretrial motions.
• Preferred experience in cross-examining witnesses and trial experience.
• 2nd chair trial experience is a plus.
• Superior analytical skills and strong written and oral communication skills.
