About the Role

We are seeking a Full Software Engineer (remote) to join our team at Alan, a rapidly growing health tech company dedicated to transforming healthcare delivery. As a Full Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our mission to expand our innovative healthcare model across Europe and beyond. You will work on building global-first platforms designed for multi-country deployment, ensuring that our systems can adapt to diverse healthcare markets while maintaining the exceptional experience our members love.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop scalable systems for insurance operations, claims processing, and member experiences that work across diverse regulatory environments.
• Build reusable components and architecture that can be quickly adapted to new markets with different healthcare systems, regulations, and languages.
• Scale payment and billing infrastructure to handle multiple currencies and tax systems while ensuring compliance with local financial regulations.
• Create country-agnostic data models that accommodate vast differences in healthcare systems while keeping data consistent and accessible globally.
• Ship member experiences that feel local while leveraging shared global components, building mobile and web interfaces that adapt seamlessly to different languages and cultures.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on building scalable systems.
• Proficiency in Object Oriented Programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
• Experience with web technologies, particularly modern JavaScript frameworks like React.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building products that improve users' lives.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French is a plus but not required.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the health tech industry or working with healthcare systems.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or similar database technologies.
• Previous experience in international expansion projects.
