Freelance German Translator - Remote

About the Role

We’re looking for a Freelance German Translator to join our dynamic team and help localize and proofread our content into German. This Freelance German Translator remote position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of marketing and technical materials, making a significant impact in the music technology industry.

What You'll Do

• Translate a range of materials from English into German, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance.
• Proofread already translated content to maintain high quality and consistency.
• Transcreate marketing materials, such as product taglines, to resonate with the German-speaking audience.
• Collaborate with the Localisation Manager and other linguists to ensure cohesive messaging.
• Ensure consistency in industry terminology across all documents.
• Work with both marketing and technical documents to support diverse projects.

Requirements

• Native German speaker with excellent knowledge of English.
• Degree in translation or a relevant language-related subject.
• At least 2 years of experience as a translator, preferably in a freelance capacity.
• Experience in technical translation and understanding of industry terminology.
• Preferably, experience or a strong interest in the music or creative industries.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with localization tools and software.
