Founding Software Engineer - AI Voice Agents for Skilled Trades

About the Role

We are seeking a Founding Software Engineer for AI Voice Agents in Skilled Trades. This is a unique opportunity to join a founding-level role where you will have high ownership from day one. As a Founding Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in building AI voice agents that enhance the operations of trades and field services businesses. This role is based in London, requiring on-site work five days a week.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship core product features across the stack, utilizing technologies such as Python, TypeScript, and cloud infrastructure.
• Own the entire lifecycle of product development: engage directly with customers, scope solutions, and iterate quickly to deliver outcomes.
• Make informed speed decisions, creating MVPs that unlock value and subsequently hardening them into scalable solutions.
• Enhance testing, documentation, reliability, and security as the platform scales.
• Develop complex features including LLM workflows, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and real-time automation.

Requirements

• Strong engineering fundamentals with the ability to design, debug, and ship reliable systems.
• Proficiency in Python or TypeScript, with a proven ability to ramp up quickly.
• Experience in shipping AI products end-to-end, whether through startups, side projects, or open-source contributions.
• Comfort in working across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
• Confidence in collaborating with customers and non-technical stakeholders to scope and deliver solutions.
• A proven track record of ownership in shipping complex projects.
