Founding Engineer - MVP to MLP for Hospitality SaaS

About the Role

We are seeking a Founding Engineer to join our team at Guestro and help us transition from MVP to MLP. This remote role allows you to work from anywhere in Europe while contributing to a lean hospitality SaaS that aims to help restaurants grow without adding more work. As a Founding Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping the product and ensuring it meets the needs of our users.

What You'll Do

• Transform our MVP into a Minimum Lovable Product that is reliable, intuitive, and fast.
• Implement AI-driven insights and workflows that enhance user experience while remaining unobtrusive.
• Collaborate with a small in-house team to build and evolve the product technically and product-wise.
• Work across the stack, including frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure, using the best tools available.
• Utilize modern AI coding agents to enhance productivity, including generating, refactoring, and testing code.
• Own features end-to-end, from building to shipping and learning from user feedback.

Requirements

• Entry-level experience in software development with a focus on building and shipping.
• Familiarity with technologies such as React, SQL, and cloud infrastructure.
• Comfortable working in a distributed team and close to founders and users.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize usability and reliability.
• Proficient in using AI tools as part of your daily workflow.

Nice to Have

• Experience with hospitality or SaaS products.
• Familiarity with automation and integration tools.
• Understanding of user experience design principles.
