Logistics Specialist - Remote Opportunity at Baker Hughes

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Specialist remote to join our team at Baker Hughes. In this role, you will be integral to our Oilfield Services business, which provides intelligent, connected technologies to monitor and control our energy extraction assets. You will work with a team that delivers technical expertise to meet client expectations in Well Intervention requirements, ensuring operations are reliable and efficient.

What You'll Do

• Execute assigned work in a safe and effective manner as a Logistics Specialist remote.
• Comply with company procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Participate and contribute in relevant meetings.
• Fill in hour lists daily using SAP.
• Actively engage in continuous improvement work within quality and safety.
• Contribute proposals for improvement of equipment, services, QHSE, procedures, and routines.
• Report non-conformity in quality and HSE.
• Train new employees and execute other work as instructed by superiors.

Job Specific Responsibilities

• Manage all storekeeping and logistics for EDMS and Tool Pool.
• Coordinate and allocate Global Tool Pool equipment.
• Contribute to monthly stock counting and maintain correct inventory levels.
• Manage domestic and overseas shipments, including receiving goods and picking parts for production.
• Handle RMA coordination and follow up on Engineering Change notes.
• Perform required warehouse transactions in the ERP system.
• Manage NCR reporting and expedite processes.
• Archive documents and organize environmental containers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or scientific discipline from an accredited university or relevant industry experience.
• Trade certificate in logistics.
• Excellent IT knowledge and system comprehension.
• Knowledge of relevant international laws and regulations, particularly in customs and shipments.
• Proven experience in logistics; relevant work experience may compensate for lack of formal education.
• Proficient in English.
• Structured, flexible, independent, and thorough, with excellent coordination and communication skills.
