About the Role

We're hiring a Football Data Manager - Remote to support the Football Technology & Data department at FIFA. In this role, you will manage football data projects, particularly during FIFA tournaments, while coordinating with various stakeholders and maintaining project documentation. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage with a global team and work on high-profile projects in the sports data industry.

What You'll Do

  • Support football data projects at FIFA tournaments, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
  • Coordinate communications with data providers and stakeholders to facilitate project success.
  • Manage project requirements and delivery plans using Azure DevOps.
  • Draft delivery reports on project advancements to keep all stakeholders informed.
  • Maintain the Football Data Catalog, ensuring all data is organized and accessible.
  • Support stakeholders in implementing football data projects effectively.
  • Collaborate with Football Data Operations for testing sessions to ensure data integrity.
  • Document meetings and centralize resources within the team for easy access.
  • Monitor live and post-match data delivery during tournaments to ensure quality.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in project or product management, specifically in technology or data projects.
  • Experience in the football industry is a significant advantage.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in other FIFA languages is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with strong writing skills.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or similar project management tools.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake or PowerBI is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration or project management.
  • Strong communication and cooperative skills, with a good understanding of football as a consumer.

  • Availability to work up to 20 days per month.
  • Willingness to work outside standard hours to accommodate project needs.
