Fitter Mechanic - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
Join our team as a Fitter Mechanic in a remote capacity, where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining our fleet of hire equipment. This position offers attractive hourly rates, penalty rates on overtime, and a permanent full-time position with a Monday to Friday roster starting at 7 am.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventative maintenance, servicing, and overhaul of a range of plant equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to ensure equipment is in prime condition.
- Maintain records for all service and repair work to minimize operational downtime.
- Assist with transport loading and unloading of equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to foster a safety-first mindset and dedication to safe work practices.
Requirements
- Relevant trade qualifications in mechanical fitting or related fields.
- Experience with petrol and diesel motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical skills.
- Valid driver's license (preferably MR or HR).
- Forklift and EWP tickets are beneficial.
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and preventative maintenance skills.
- A customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering excellent service.

- Experience in a similar role within the equipment maintenance industry.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
