Finance Planning and Analysis Intern - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Finance Planning and Analysis Intern to join AWP Safety's dynamic team remotely. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial planning and analysis while contributing to a leading traffic control specialist in North America.

What You'll Do

• Support the preparation of monthly or quarterly financial report-outs, enhancing your understanding of financial metrics.
• Assist with consolidating data, analyzing variances, and identifying trends that influence business decisions.
• Gain hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, and operational financial modeling.
• Collaborate with Operations, Accounting, HR, and other departments to understand how field and corporate activities translate into financial impact.
• Participate in reviewing financial results tied to workforce planning, resource utilization, and operational efficiency.
• Receive one-on-one mentorship from Senior FP&A leaders to enhance your professional development.
• Attend workshops, panels, and intern networking events to expand your knowledge and connections.
• Conduct research and financial modeling for strategic projects and investment decisions.

Requirements

• Rising junior enrolled in a bachelor’s program with a focus on Finance, Accounting, or related coursework preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and financial concepts (training will be provided).
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present financial findings clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in finance, accounting, customer service, or data-focused roles is a plus.
