We are seeking an experienced Exchange Operations Manager to join our fully remote team at Kraken. As an Exchange Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing our platform operations, ensuring the stability and efficiency of our trading products. What You'll Do

  • Manage a team responsible for the day-to-day operations of our exchange products, including Spot, Margin, and Derivatives markets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Engineering, Compliance, and Client Support, to drive continuous improvement in trading operations.
  • Implement and define processes and practices that enhance operational resilience and efficiency.
  • Utilize technology to update configurations, add new risk controls, and manage the platform effectively.
  • Oversee product development of internal tools and ensure governance of trading policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in operations management within cryptocurrency exchanges or similar platforms.
  • Strong technical knowledge of trading systems and financial markets.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using SQL and Python to interpret medium-sized datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment and make quick decisions under pressure.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with regulatory bodies and compliance standards applicable to cryptocurrency exchanges.
  • Experience with operational resilience and incident response.
