Engineering Manager - Retail Trading for Crypto Platform
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Retail Trading team at Crypto.com. This Engineering Manager remote position is critical for guiding a talented team of engineers to build and scale innovative retail trading products. You will be involved in designing various components behind scalable applications, from frontend UI to backend infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a high-performing, cross-functional engineering team (iOS, Android, Backend, QA), fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
- Partner with the Product Manager to define the product roadmap and technical strategy for our retail trading platform.
- Drive the end-to-end delivery of new features and products, from conception and design to development, deployment, and maintenance.
- Act as the primary engineering voice, collaborating closely with product, design, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
- Proactively identify and address technical, process, or resource gaps within the engineering team.
- Guide the team in making sound architectural decisions for scalable, secure, and reliable systems.
- Champion best practices for software development, including agile methodologies, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD.
- Effectively communicate project status, risks, and technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in leading, managing, and mentoring software engineering teams, preferably in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong technical acumen with a background in software development and familiarity with technologies like Golang, Ruby on Rails, Postgres, Redis, and Kafka.
- Experience with native mobile development (iOS, Android) and/or cross-platform frameworks like React Native.
- Experience working as a key engineering partner with product managers to build and deliver successful products.
- A deep understanding of the retail trading, fintech, or financial services industry.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken) and proficiency in spoken Mandarin.
- Experience with designing and building scalable, secure, and high-performance systems for large-scale applications.
- A humble and collaborative leader who is open to new ideas and challenges.
