Engineering Manager - Infrastructure (Remote)

About the Role

Checkly is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager for Infrastructure to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time Engineering Manager position that allows you to work remotely from Europe. As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a talented team of engineers, driving the development and maintenance of our infrastructure solutions. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring that our infrastructure is robust, scalable, and efficient, supporting our mission to deliver exceptional service to our clients.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Develop and implement best practices for infrastructure management and operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure initiatives with business goals.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance infrastructure efficiency.
• Manage budgets and resources effectively to meet project timelines and objectives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or related fields.
• Proven experience in a leadership role, managing engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code tools.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Knowledge of security best practices in infrastructure management.
