About the Role

At Anchorage Digital, we are seeking an Engineering Manager - Financial Infrastructure (Remote) to lead our engineering team in building the world’s most advanced digital asset platform for institutions. This role is pivotal in enabling institutions to participate in crypto through services like custody, trading, and staking.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and scale an engineering team responsible for delivering high-quality systems that support institutional digital asset adoption.
  • Own the delivery, quality, and operational excellence of critical systems while mentoring a high-performing engineering team.
  • Shape engineering strategy and influence product direction, ensuring alignment with the rigorous standards required by regulated financial services.
  • Guide the team on engineering best practices, system design, and quality standards for secure, scalable infrastructure.
  • Translate business strategy into actionable engineering plans, directing planning, staffing, budgeting, and execution of high-priority initiatives.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with significant experience managing engineering teams.
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams through multiple product cycles.
  • Deep technical expertise in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and platform engineering (experience with GCP is a plus).
  • Strong ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into clear engineering plans and priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and collaborate effectively across functions.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ledger systems, custody infrastructure, or similar financial technology platforms.
  • Background managing teams in fintech or other regulated financial environments.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for financial institutions (SOC 2, bank examinations, etc.).
