About the Role

We are seeking an Engineering Intern to join our Kiewit Mining Group, offering a unique remote internship opportunity that allows you to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry. What You'll Do

• Engage in field engineering tasks, operation planning, cost control, and project scheduling.
• Assist in quantity tracking, material procurement, contract administration, and supervision of field activities.
• Maintain accurate records regarding job progress, costs, and material usage.
• Investigate problems and recommend solutions during construction.
• Review plans and specifications to determine material requirements and pricing.
• Collaborate with suppliers to facilitate the handling and delivery of materials.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Civil, Mining, Geomatics, Geology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to travel or relocate as needed for various projects.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety and integrity.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
