We are seeking a skilled Drawing Operator II remote to join our team at Southwire. What You'll Do

• Coordinate, set up, and operate the drawing machine to draw various sizes of copper wire from feeder stock.
• Ensure the correct wire sizes and lengths are produced as specified in the production order.
• Perform quality checks and maintain a layer wound package to ensure high standards.
• Monitor and adjust machine controls to produce quality wire at specified production speeds.
• Maintain ongoing communication with supervisors and peers to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to stand and lift heavy loads for long periods of time.
• Experience in operating machinery is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with ISO Quality System documentation.
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
