What You'll Do

• Assist in food preparation and distribution in accordance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of food service areas.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective communication and workflow.
• Utilize food handling techniques to ensure food safety and quality.
• Operate and clean food preparation equipment and scales.

Requirements

• Minimum Grade 11 education; Dietetic Aide Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Valid Food Handling certificate is required.
• Experience in food service, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• Ability to lift heavy items and meet the physical demands of the role.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with residents and staff.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cleaning chemicals and food preparation equipment.
• Knowledge of food sanitation and safety practices.
• Familiarity with workplace health and safety regulations.
