About the Role

We are seeking a talented Data Scientist - Lifecycle Marketing (Remote) to join Wealthfront’s innovative Data Science team. In this role, you will leverage our extensive financial and behavioral data to drive impactful decisions in Marketing, Product, and information security. The Lifecycle Marketing team focuses on maximizing lead conversion and enhancing client engagement through personalized campaigns delivered via emails, in-app merchandising, and push notifications. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on projects such as client segmentation, campaign design, and client value modeling.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze and suggest Lifecycle Marketing campaigns that prioritize client satisfaction and address pain points.
  • Employ rigorous mathematical analyses and sound software development principles to execute projects.
  • Collaborate with the Lifecycle Marketing team to define quarterly and yearly initiatives.
  • Transform initiatives into actionable projects with clear rationale, methodologies, and milestones.
  • Track project progress and priorities during weekly meetings, ensuring alignment with team objectives.
  • Communicate technical information, including assumptions and methodologies, to diverse stakeholders.
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations, enhancing the overall marketing strategy.
  • Mentor junior Data Scientists, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or Natural Sciences.
  • 4-8+ years of experience as a Data Scientist.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Strong foundation in practical Statistics, including causal inference.
  • Excellent mathematical and software engineering skills.
  • Fluency in both oral and written communication.
  • Ability to refine project requirements through effective collaboration.
  • Experience in a marketing-facing role is preferred but not mandatory.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with machine learning techniques.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of marketing analytics.
