About the Role

Join Experian as a Data Science Summer Intern - Remote, where you will be part of our innovative R&D Lab. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on real-world challenges and develop analytical solutions using advanced technologies, including Quantum Computing. As a Data Science Summer Intern, you will apply machine learning, data mining, and text mining techniques to tackle complex problems and enhance your skills in analytics and data science.

What You'll Do

• Develop analytical solutions using advanced technologies, including Quantum Computing.
• Work on hands-on projects that address real-world challenges in data science.
• Apply machine learning, data mining, and text mining techniques to extract insights from data.
• Design data structures for efficient handling and processing of large datasets.
• Explore Quantum Computing applications across various sectors and industries.
• Conduct ROI and benefit analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of models.
• Document and present model processes and performance to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with a diverse team in a fully remote environment.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
• Must return to school in Fall 2026.
• Experience in analytics, data mining, or predictive modeling is essential.
• Familiarity with regression, Neural Networks, or ensemble methods is preferred.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, C++, or C.
• Experience with Generative AI and Quantum Computing applications is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Previous internship experience in data science or analytics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
