Site HSE Advisor - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Site HSE Advisor to join our team remotely. In this role, you will support the effective management and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) performance across our manufacturing site. As a Site HSE Advisor, you will work closely with the HSE Lead to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and promote a proactive safety culture.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support the HSE Lead in delivering HSE initiatives and act as a visible presence across the manufacturing environment.
• Champion a positive safety culture, encouraging safe behaviors and continuous improvement.
• Implement GKN Aerospace HSE policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with UK Health and Safety legislation.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and hazard identification activities.
• Report, investigate, and manage all incidents, ensuring root cause analysis is completed.
• Ensure employees and contractors receive appropriate HSE training and maintain training records.
• Track internal HSE metrics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide HSE guidance during new equipment installations and engineering projects.

Requirements

• Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, preferably aerospace.
• Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and best practices.
• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent; working towards Diploma is desirable.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to analyze data and drive practical improvements.
• Confident in conducting investigations and risk assessments.

Nice to Have

• Experience with environmental management systems.
• Knowledge of ISO standards related to HSE.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
