About the Role

We are seeking a Data Collection Freelancer - Remote to support a multimodal data collection project aimed at enhancing the performance of a digital assistant. As a Data Collection Freelancer, you will capture short-form video clips that simulate real-world user interactions and submit corresponding question/answer sequences. This role offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while contributing to a significant project that impacts user experience.

What You'll Do

  • Collect and submit up to 50 short video-based interaction samples in mp4 format, following provided technical guidelines.
  • Each example will be a separate deliverable, ensuring that each submitted interaction includes dynamic videos that ask a question and provide an answer grounded in what is seen in the video.
  • Ensure that examples are realistic and plausible in real-life scenarios.
  • Provide general metadata including a title, short description, and file link via a shared template.
  • Meet defined quality and realism standards for submitted examples.
  • Complete deliverables according to deadlines, including revisions when necessary.
  • Incorporate early feedback from the project team to refine submissions.
  • Scenarios may include interacting with a restaurant’s menu or helping to locate difficult-to-find items.

Requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow structured technical instructions.
  • Comfortable recording and speaking in public or dynamic environments.
  • Fluent in English with strong written communication skills.
  • Based in the U.S. with access to a variety of real-world outdoor or on-the-go settings.
  • Competent with smartphone video recording, file organization, and using cloud storage platforms.
