Data Centre Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We’re looking for a Data Centre Engineer to join our growing team remotely! In this role, you’ll take ownership of on-site operations at our Maidenhead Data Centre, ensuring customer platforms run smoothly and efficiently. As a Data Centre Engineer remote, you will face new challenges daily as you troubleshoot hardware and software issues across a variety of technologies, from networking gear to servers.

What You'll Do

• Install and configure operating systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor system performance and respond to alerts to maintain reliability and uptime.
• Provide 24/7 support on a rotating shift basis, gaining hands-on experience with enterprise-level technologies.
• Collaborate with a team to resolve technical problems quickly and professionally.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining a calm, customer-focused approach during troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Experience with hardware, particularly Cisco networking gear, is a plus.
• Knowledge of OS installation and configuration.
• Strong understanding of customer service principles.
• Ability to work on a shift basis, including nights and weekends.
• Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new technologies.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a data centre environment.
• Familiarity with cloud services and data protection.
• Certifications in networking or IT support.
