Commissioning Manager - Mechanical (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Commissioning Manager - Mechanical (Remote) to join Global Commissioning Limited, a consultancy specializing in the data center industry. In this role, you will oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of critical systems and IT infrastructure within data center environments. Your leadership and organizational skills will be essential in managing services both on-site and off-site, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with design specifications.

What You'll Do

• Author and review the Owner's Project Requirements and commissioning documents during the design phase.
• Draft the Commissioning Plan and Programme, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Lead Commissioning Agent Kick-Off Meetings to facilitate collaboration among stakeholders.
• Conduct Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 Commissioning Workshops during the construction phase.
• Oversee Factory and Field Witness Tests, producing reports to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Develop comprehensive Commissioning Checklists for various systems to ensure thorough assessments.
• Manage and update the Commissioning Tracker to monitor all commissioning activities effectively.
• Coordinate system training data collection and review Operations & Maintenance procedures during the handover phase.

Requirements

• Completion of trade apprenticeship or qualifications is essential.
• CSCS / Safe Pass / ECS / SMSTS holder is essential.
• HNC in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services is essential.
• BEng (Hons) in an engineering discipline or equivalent is desirable.
• Prince 2 or equivalent certification is desirable.

• Experience in data center commissioning.
