About the Role

We are seeking a talented C++ Engineer - Premium Products to join our remote team at Brave. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for privacy and security, looking to make a significant impact in the tech world. As a C++ Engineer, you will help us enhance our premium product offerings on Desktop and integrate new products into our ecosystem.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with developers and privacy/security experts to create and improve premium products.
  • Integrate Brave VPN and other premium services with our desktop browser.
  • Utilize your strong C++ development skills to enhance existing features and develop new functionalities.
  • Participate in unit and integration testing for C++ applications.
  • Work within distributed development teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in desktop application development.
  • Strong C++ development skills are essential.
  • Experience with JavaScript and its application in software development.
  • Familiarity with C++ unit and integration testing.
  • Comfortable working in an open-source environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • A proven record of delivering results in previous roles.

Nice to Have

  • Shell programming experience on Windows, macOS, or Linux.
  • Experience with the Chromium code base or similar browser technologies.
  • Development experience with WireGuard.
