Business Analyst - Financial Planning (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst - Financial Planning to join our team remotely. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in financial planning and analysis to support our clients effectively. This Business Analyst position requires a strong background in fraud investigation and management, as well as hands-on experience with the Xceptor tool. You will play a crucial role in developing client-facing reports and collaborating with various teams to ensure project success.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with development teams to build JIRA stories and develop comprehensive requirements.
• Lead daily stand-ups for an Agile squad, ensuring effective communication and project alignment.
• Support production of insurance applications under SLA/KPI guidelines.
• Coordinate with vendors, business owners, and infrastructure teams to facilitate project execution.
• Utilize your strong SQL skills to analyze data and support data migration efforts.
• Prepare process flows and screen mockups to visualize project requirements.
• Execute transformation, integration, and automation programs/projects.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, demonstrating excellent verbal and written skills.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, specifically in financial planning.
• Proven experience in fraud investigation/management.
• Hands-on experience with the Xceptor tool.
• Strong SQL query writing skills.
• Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and ITIL practices.
• Experience with data analysis and data migration.
• Ability to learn complex applications quickly.
• Excellent analytical reasoning and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with JIRA and Remedy tools.
• Knowledge of IT tech stacks, including front-end languages, databases, cloud, and APIs.
