About the Role

We're hiring a Backend Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Dragonboat. This Backend Software Engineer remote position is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading AI platform for Strategic Product and Portfolio Management. As part of our team, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the value we deliver to our customers, driving outcomes across the entire product operating model.

What You'll Do

• Own and evolve the core platform, including the data model, APIs, and services that everything else is built on.
• Design and build the backend systems that power our portfolio intelligence layer, focusing on data aggregation, scoring, and analysis at scale.
• Build and maintain integrations with the tools our customers use daily.
• Make architectural decisions that will hold up as we grow.
• Collaborate directly with product and other engineers to quickly transition from problem to solution.
• Utilize agentic coding tools as your default mode of operation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of backend engineering experience with strong opinions on building sustainable systems.
• Ability to take ownership of a problem from design to production.
• Experience with data-heavy systems, including modeling, querying, and optimizing.
• Familiarity with AI tools and a strong point of view on maximizing their utility.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to provide honest feedback.

Nice to Have

• Experience building or scaling integrations with third-party platforms.
• Background in multi-tenant SaaS at scale.
• Experience in developing features that provide data-driven insights to end users.
