About the Role

We are seeking a talented Backend Engineer (Python/Go) - AI Startup to join our innovative team. This remote backend engineer position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a fast-growing AI startup. You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our backend systems, utilizing your expertise in Python and Go.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement robust backend systems using Python or Go.
  • Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and gRPC services for high performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and automate workflows across various systems.
  • Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for deploying scalable services in cloud environments.
  • Ensure database integrity and performance through effective schema design with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards of quality through testing frameworks.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or GitHub Actions.
  • Engage in product-oriented development, transforming R&D scripts into stable APIs or microservices.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in backend development with a focus on Python or Go.
  • Strong understanding of API design, versioning, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with Docker and basic knowledge of Kubernetes.
  • Proficient in relational databases and schema design.
  • Familiarity with AWS or other cloud-based deployment environments.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
  • A product-oriented mindset with the ability to turn prototypes into usable services.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ML workflow orchestration tools like Flyte or Airflow.
  • Exposure to LLM inference tools such as Hugging Face Hub.
  • Understanding of message queues or event-driven architectures.
  • Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus or Grafana.
