Assistant Accountant - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our team at Survitec. This remote Assistant Accountant position offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in accounting while working in a supportive environment. You will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including the compilation and analysis of financial data, and you will work closely with senior colleagues to ensure compliance with financial regulations.

What You'll Do

• Assist in the compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data under the guidance of senior accountants.
• Track progress against budgets and report variances, ensuring compliance with local financial laws.
• Implement aspects of the Survitec control framework and maintain financial controls.
• Produce key financial documents, including monthly management accounts and statutory accounts.
• Participate in the monthly accounting cycle and assist in the coordination of the month-end process.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and tax obligations, providing assurance on the accuracy of accounting records.
• Support others in utilizing data management systems effectively.
• Manage accounting queries from internal and external customers, providing clear information on processes and policies.

Requirements

• A university degree or vocational equivalent in finance or accounting.
• 6-12 months of undergraduate work experience in a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and build partnerships.
