Arista Engineer - Remote Network Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Arista Engineer to join our team in a fully remote capacity. As an Arista Engineer remote, you will play a crucial role in the design, deployment, and operations of Arista networks. This position offers the opportunity to provide technical guidance and leadership to both the customer and the project engineering team, ensuring that project timelines are met efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Deliver network planning, design, implementation, and optimization services as a post-sales consultant.
• Create both Low Level and High-Level designs for Route & Switch networking utilizing industry best practices and Arista hardware.
• Lead the delivery of network solutions including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other network hardware appliances.
• Oversee and perform new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
• Conduct installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of customer-managed hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
• Research network products, services, protocols, and standards to stay updated on developments in the networking industry.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience designing, deploying, and implementing Arista Route and Switch environments.
• Experience creating logical design models.
• Familiarity with Arista designs such as L2LS, L3LS, EVPN, VxLAN, and CloudVision CVP/CVaaS.
• Working technical knowledge of network control protocols (QoS, PfR, PoE, NTP, DHCP) and network management protocols (CDP, FTP, TFTP, SNMP).
• Strong knowledge of IP communication and routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) is required.
• A related degree in computer science or electrical engineering, or five years of equivalent network engineering experience.
• Certifications in Arista such as ACE L3 Automation and Campus, and L5 Routing are preferred.
• Understanding of WAN/LAN and transport technologies (Ethernet, DMVPN, WAAS, and MPLS).

Nice to Have

• Experience with other OEMs in addition to Arista.
• Experience with inter-company routing.
