About the Role

We are seeking to recruit a highly enthusiastic and talented individual for the role of Apprentice Purchasing Clerk. This remote opportunity allows you to thrive while working within a dynamic team in our Supply Chain Department. As an Apprentice Purchasing Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment, making a significant impact on our operations.

What You'll Do

  • Process purchase orders using internal software systems to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Sort and organize purchase orders to support the purchasing department’s operations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to track the status of goods being purchased, ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Assist the logistics officer with various processes related to shipping and receiving.
  • Coordinate courier services, including booking shipments and tracking the movement of goods.
  • Prepare routine shipping documentation and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Sort and organize shipping and procurement documents for easy access and retrieval.
  • Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate records within the supply chain systems.
  • Support day-to-day supply chain operations and assist with ad hoc tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration at MCAST.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in using computer software and data entry tasks.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in a supply chain or purchasing role.
  • Familiarity with logistics and shipping processes.
  • Basic understanding of procurement practices.
