About the Role

We are seeking an Application Engineer to join our dynamic team in the automotive industry. This Application Engineer remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with test and design engineers at our customer sites, translating customer requirements into actionable product specifications. You will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and product excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the primary technical contact for customers, providing expert consultation on our products.
  • Translate customer requirements into detailed product specifications.
  • Consult with customers regarding the impact of changes on product cost and pricing.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to define product specifications and support productivity initiatives.
  • Lead projects from inception through product launch, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments including product engineering, sales, marketing, and production.
  • Undertake additional duties as required by the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Several years of experience in the automotive or supplier industry.
  • Strong knowledge of friction and brake technology.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with customers and suppliers.
  • Self-starter with the capability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent English communication skills; proficiency in additional languages (German, French) is a plus.
  • Proficient in standard PC software; familiarity with SAP and CAD is preferred.
  • Customer-oriented personality with strong business acumen.
