Technical Project Buyer - Light Manufacturing (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Project Buyer to join our team at HH Global. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while managing the procurement of light manufacturing and outsourced production for our esteemed client brands. As a Technical Project Buyer, you will leverage your expertise in sourcing and supplier management to ensure the successful execution of projects.

What You'll Do

• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers globally, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
• Manage the RFQ and tender processes from specification to award, ensuring compliance and value addition to projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and client engagement, to gather technical drawings and BOM per project.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best pricing and execution standards.
• Compile and present tender outcomes, providing recommendations based on analytics.
• Oversee the transition of production from incumbent suppliers to new vendors as necessary.
• Ensure all project documentation, including CPAs and tooling contracts, is accurately prepared and communicated.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure ongoing compliance and quality assurance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in technical buying, particularly in outsourced manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of materials including wood, metal, and plastic, along with production processes.
• Experience managing RFQ and tender processes effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
• High proficiency in Excel and analytical abilities.
• Experience in Permanent Point of Sale materials and retail display fittings is a plus.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
