Warehouse Associate - HVAC Distribution

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team at Baker Distributing. This Warehouse Associate role is essential for managing the inventory and ensuring the efficient transfer of HVAC freight and materials in a fast-paced environment. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in procuring, picking, processing, and dispatching products to our customers and vendors.

What You'll Do

• Pick and verify orders for customers while adhering to Baker's Production Standards.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure accuracy of products being received, picked, and shipped.
• Load and unload products daily for delivery to customers and other sales centers.
• Receive, inspect, and stock all merchandise efficiently.
• Prepare orders for shipment as needed and maintain a daily checklist for truck and forklift maintenance.
• Assist management with inventory counts and ensure daily upkeep of the warehouse.
• Adhere to all warehouse safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately to management and participate in regular safety training sessions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC products is a plus but not required.

Nice to Have
