Join Pyramid Global Hospitality as the Vice President of Resort Sales, a pivotal role where you will lead the commercial vision for Saddlebrook Resort, an iconic destination in Tampa, Florida. This Vice President of Resort Sales position is crucial in shaping the future of our resort as we undergo a $92 million renovation, set to relaunch by the end of 2025. As the Vice President of Resort Sales, you will be at the forefront of driving growth and ensuring the resort's long-standing reputation for excellence continues to thrive.

What You'll Do

  • Lead all sales and marketing functions across various segments, ensuring alignment with the resort’s revenue goals and brand positioning.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans, including annual budgets and tactical strategies to enhance market share and direct bookings.
  • Oversee digital marketing, social media, and SEO/SEM strategies to expand visibility and drive direct revenue.
  • Foster strong relationships with key clients and actively participate in sales calls, site tours, and industry events.
  • Collaborate closely with Revenue Management and Operations teams to optimize rate strategies and enhance guest experience initiatives.
  • Serve as the brand ambassador for Saddlebrook Resort, engaging with local tourism boards and economic development initiatives.
  • Inspire a high-performing Sales, Marketing, and Events team, focusing on talent development and cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Utilize market analytics and competitive data to guide forecasting and long-term sales planning.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Director of Sales & Marketing in a full-service resort or hotel, with a preference for independent properties.
  • Strong familiarity with the Florida hospitality market, particularly in Tampa and central Florida.
  • Proven success in driving commercial strategy and achieving revenue goals.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing and guest segmentation for independent resorts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems like Delphi.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to ownership and executive stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for sales calls and industry events.
  • Ability to lead through change and guide a team in a fast-paced environment.
