Vice President of Finance - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Vice President of Finance - Remote to lead and evolve Customer.io’s finance and accounting functions as we scale. In this role, you will oversee both Finance and Accounting, partnering closely with the executive team to translate strategy into measurable financial outcomes. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the financial narrative of a dynamic company focused on empowering marketing and growth teams.

What You'll Do

• Lead long-range planning and financial modeling to ensure strategic alignment with company goals.
• Partner with the CFO on capital structure and resource allocation to optimize financial performance.
• Shape the financial narrative for Board meetings, ensuring clarity and transparency in reporting.
• Oversee Accounting for audit readiness and compliance, maintaining high standards of governance.
• Strengthen financial reporting and governance practices to enhance decision-making.
• Optimize Finance/Accounting systems for scalability, ensuring they meet the needs of a growing organization.
• Lead FP&A analysis on SaaS metrics, providing insights that drive business performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve operational efficiency, ensuring metrics are connected to financial outcomes.

Requirements

• 15+ years in Finance leadership roles, with a proven track record in high-growth environments.
• Experience in Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, or Private Equity.
• Strong capital allocation judgment and expertise in SaaS metrics and financial modeling.
• Experience building scalable finance systems that support rapid growth.
• Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.
