About the Role

We are seeking a Vice President HR/EHS to join our team at Steel Partners Holdings. This remote Vice President HR/EHS position plays a critical role in aligning HR and EHS strategies with our overall business goals. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining a culture that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion while ensuring a strong safety mindset across our operations.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with the President to engage the Lucas Leadership Team effectively, accomplishing collective objectives and achieving business financial and strategic goals.
  • Develop and execute a recruitment and retention strategy, applying engagement and talent development strategies to drive retention.
  • Utilize strong engagement strategies to foster a dynamic culture that encourages employees to apply discretionary effort towards achieving company goals.
  • Implement Steel Partners benefits and performance management processes, ensuring transparency in compensation and incentive programs.
  • Promote talent and organizational development by identifying high-potential employees and ensuring key positions have successor candidates.
  • Deliver effective employee relations strategies to support our culture and ensure business success.
  • Actively promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization, ensuring HR practices support these goals.
  • Maximize the use of HR systems and recommend new tools to support HR strategies and company goals.
  • Ensure EHS program compliance with regulatory requirements while promoting health and wellness through leading EHS and HR programs.
  • Identify annual metrics for HR and EHS to track progress against goals and adjust action plans as necessary.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in HR leadership roles, with at least 8 years of experience in a senior HR position.
  • Strong knowledge of HR and EHS regulations and best practices.
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with HR metrics and KPIs.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification from a recognized HR organization (e.g., SHRM, HRCI).
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
