Geospatial Analyst - Remote Opportunity for USAG Stuttgart
About the Role
We are seeking a Geospatial Analyst remote to join our innovative team at Woolpert, a global leader in architecture, engineering, and geospatial services. This role is integral to our United States Army Installation Geospatial Information and Services (IGI&S) Support contract, located at USAG Stuttgart in Germany. As a Geospatial Analyst remote, you will contribute to developing and executing geospatial solutions that enhance the operations of the Stuttgart Directorate of Public Works (DPW) and Garrison support activities.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain GIS and cartographic information, products, and services to support the USAG Stuttgart mission.
- Manage geodatabases, feature datasets, and associated geospatial layers.
- Ensure compliance with Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE) for the US Army.
- Create and update installation maps, drawings, and other graphic representations using cartographic techniques.
- Perform data quality assurance and control (QA/QC) to meet geospatial data standards.
- Conduct field data collection to support new construction and fill data gaps.
- Implement design consistency across all GIS mapping products, adhering to federal and industry standards.
- Utilize government software for polishing publications and generating annotations for briefs and presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with two (2) years of geospatial experience, or four (4) years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Proficiency in GIS concepts and terminology.
- Experience with Esri ArcGIS and CADD software (e.g., Bentley MicroStation, Autodesk AutoCAD).
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on client and team engagement.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail and proven experience meeting data quality assurance standards.
- Ability to understand, speak, read, and write in English and German.
- Experience with the Army Geospatial Enterprise (AGE) and/or Army IGI&S program preferred.
Nice to Have
- Experience with ePRISMS and geospatial imagery processing.
- Familiarity with GPS, surveying, or field data collection techniques.
