About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Design Associate - Remote to join our innovative team at Spanx. In this role, you will create apparel that combines performance and functionality, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and fit.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct and manage fit sessions to determine and execute proper fit, including measuring and prepping samples for fitting.
  • Lead and facilitate fit sessions on live models, taking ownership of specific product lines.
  • Develop expertise in understanding physical fit, evaluating body size and shape, and ensuring size and fit consistency across product categories.
  • Manage fit schedules, book models, and communicate updates to cross-functional partners.
  • Generate technical packages for the factory, including fit comments, sketches, specifications, and construction details.
  • Partner with the Design team on initial stage sample development and specifications.
  • Track and manage workflow for your product, gathering information and updating reports necessary for meetings.
  • Identify potential production, quality, and costing issues, making recommendations to ensure brand integrity.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of proven technical experience in women’s intimate apparel or shapewear.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an apparel or textile-related field.
  • Proficient in garment specifications, measuring garments, and flat sketching.
  • Working knowledge in pattern making (preferably Gerber), fit/balance of garments, and garment construction.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects while adhering to deadlines.
  • Leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in PLM, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Outlook, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Knowledge of fabric, trims, and construction for intimate apparel.
  • Innovative thinking and the ability to build collaborative cross-functional relationships.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 10%).
