About the Role

We are seeking a visionary Team Manager, UX Designer to join our team remotely. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of agentic learning experiences in higher education. As a strategic design practitioner, you will guide a team of UX designers to deliver innovative solutions that transform how students learn and educators teach.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop a team of UX designers through coaching, feedback, and career guidance.
  • Own UX delivery across a product area, ensuring quality, consistency, and predictability.
  • Prioritize and sequence work to balance short-term execution and long-term experience goals.
  • Partner closely with product and engineering to align roadmaps, priorities, and success metrics.
  • Run design planning, critique, and review rituals that support clarity and momentum.
  • Unblock teams by resolving ambiguity, clarifying scope, and navigating trade-offs.
  • Reinforce design standards, accessibility, and design system adoption.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of professional experience in UX design, with 3+ years leading designers.
  • Experience designing products that leverage agentic AI and using AI prototyping tools.
  • A strong foundation in end-to-end UX design across complex, multi-surface products.
  • Proven experience managing priorities across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
  • Confidence making decisions under ambiguity and communicating trade-offs clearly.
  • A collaborative leadership style that builds trust across product, engineering, and design.
  • The ability to switch between hands-on design guidance and higher-level planning as needed.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with educational technology and learning management systems.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Knowledge of user research methodologies and usability testing.
