About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant - Educational Neuroscience Remote to join our vibrant team at The Education University of Hong Kong. This role offers a unique opportunity to support our Master of Science in Educational Neuroscience program while working remotely. You will be instrumental in delivering engaging learning experiences and supporting our innovative educational initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Assist in preparing and conducting lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions for the MSc(EdN) program.
- Help with grading assignments and exams, providing constructive feedback to students.
- Facilitate discussions and engage students during class and office hours.
- Support course-related administrative tasks, including maintaining student records and preparing instructional materials.
- Provide supervisory and pastoral support, addressing student inquiries effectively.
- Assist in organizing off-campus learning activities to enhance student engagement.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of AEDI and Programme Leader.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Education, Neuroscience, or Psychology preferred.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).
- Strong management and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to a multi-tasking work environment and work under tight deadlines.
- Good IT literacy and proficiency in AI applications.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Nice to Have
- Experience in educational settings or teaching.
- Familiarity with online teaching platforms and tools.
- Knowledge of current trends in educational neuroscience.
