About the Role

We are excited to offer a Tax Internship - Summer 2027 (Remote) at HCVT. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for students to engage in tax preparation and gain practical experience in accounting while working within a supportive team environment. As a Tax Intern, you will prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns, complete various projects within specified timelines, and utilize firm tax preparation software effectively.

What You'll Do

• Prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns.
• Complete various projects within specified timelines.
• Utilize firm tax preparation software effectively.
• Conduct self-reviews of work performed.
• Engage in tax technical research as assigned.
• Build relationships with firm professionals.
• Participate in training and development activities.
• Work collaboratively with a buddy and performance manager.

Requirements

• Available for a full-time schedule from Mid-June to Mid-August.
• Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• On track to complete a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or taxation.
• Strong technical aptitude and effective communication skills.
• Exhibit leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to learn quickly and receptive to feedback.
• High attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Positive attitude and team player mentality.

Nice to Have

• Previous internship experience in accounting or tax.
• Familiarity with tax preparation software.
• Understanding of federal and state tax regulations.
